Speaking of the new PentaStar engine, did you know that it has received Ward’s 10 Best Engine’s Award for the 2nd year in a row? Chrysler is in the process of replacing seven different V6 engines with it, providing additional power, improved fuel economy and reduced emissions. For 2012, this engine is standard or available on 11 vehicles (Chrysler 200, 300 and Town & Country; Dodge Avenger, Challenger, Charger, Durango, Journey and Grand Caravan; Jeep Grand Cherokee and Wrangler). And they have now made over One Million of them in just over 18 months in two plants; The Trenton Engine Assembly Plant and another plant in Saltillo, Mexico. That’s impressive! This really is a wonderful new power plant for everything from the 200 sedan to the Town & Country minivan, the Jeep Wrangler to the Durango.
